Legal Dates: Counsel First, Almanac Never Instead
Counsel and the court set the date, and a hearing or a filing deadline is not a candidate for auspicious selection. You attend when the court says, and you file when the rule says. An almanac note never replaces a lawyer and never justifies a missed date.
Key facts
- The court's date, time, courtroom, and order outrank every day officer.
- Missing a hearing, a filing, or a limitation date for an almanac reason is a harm we will not dress as caution.
- A lawyer's strategy about which lawful date to request, if the court allows a request, is the lawyer's. We do not coach it.
- Only when counsel has said two dates are equally available and equally wise may a yellow-path preference break a tie.
- Clash penalties are a score inside that optional tie. They are not a full BaZi of the judge, the witness, or the case.
- We do not read charts as evidence, as mitigation, or as a claim about guilt or innocence.
What you decide from the legal calendar
Read the paper. Note the day, the hour, the place, and what you were told to bring. If a lawyer represents you, ask them what the date requires and whether anything about it can lawfully move. Do not ask the almanac first. Do not ask the almanac whether the lawyer is "good for your chart." That question treats a profession as a ten god and treats your case as a temperament exercise. It is a bad question. Competence, conflict, and the right to act in that jurisdiction are how lawyers are chosen. We do not rank them.
If the date cannot move, stop. Travel so you arrive early. Arrange care for children, animals, and work. A Destruction (破) officer on the morning of a hearing is irrelevant. You go. A clash with your birth year is irrelevant. You go. Fear of the label is understandable and still not a plan. Tell a person who can help you get there. Do not tell a day-selection tool to hide the morning.
Some dates feel administrative: a clerk offers two windows to file a document the rules do not pin to one day, or a mediation service offers two intake mornings and your lawyer says both are fine. That is the only opening for a soft preference. Confirm the equality with counsel, in words. "Both fine" from a friend is not "both fine" from the person responsible for the case. Then, and only then, you may prefer a yellow-path day (黄道) or avoid Close (闭) if the other slot is truly equal. Tell your lawyer the practical reason you picked — travel, a witness, a work shift — before you mention a path. If those practical reasons are not equal, the path does not get a vote.
What we will not draft, argue, or predict
We will not draft a motion, a letter to a judge, or a reason for a continuance. We will not suggest that a day officer belongs in an affidavit. We will not predict an outcome from a chart: not a verdict, not a sentence, not a custody result, not a settlement figure. Relationship palaces and Officer stars are natal language. They are not a case theory. Using them as one would be a misuse, and in a courtroom it could be a serious mistake. Your lawyer decides what is relevant. We are not your lawyer.
We will not compare your chart to an opponent's, a judge's, or a witness's. Seeking their birth data is inappropriate. Publishing it would violate the privacy standard we set for ordinary people and the speculation limit we set for public figures. A judge is not a celebrity chart. An ex-spouse is not a teaching example.
Limitation periods and appeal clocks are especially unforgiving. If you are unsure whether a clock is running, ask a lawyer promptly. Do not spend the week matching the last safe day to a yellow path. The last safe day is a ceiling, not a target for symbolism. Filing earlier, when counsel says the paper is ready, is almost always the metaphysically boring and legally saner choice.
Optional dates that only look legal
People confuse adjacent calendars. A personal deadline to gather documents for your lawyer can have slack. Two evenings to read a bundle may be equal, and a calmer officer can break that private tie. The filing itself cannot. A contract signing that is not in litigation follows the contract essay, still with the other party's date in the lead. A tax deadline follows the tax essay: the statute wins. Do not import court language into a tax form, or tax luck into a hearing.
Good Day's free preview shows one day of a window. It is a poor instrument for a legal calendar even when the window is optional, because one revealed day may not be one of the two slots counsel named. Narrow the window to those slots. Plans at $12.99 a month, $29.99 a quarter, and $89.99 a year, when they can be paid, still only rank dates. They do not retain a lawyer.
Birth match, if used at all, penalizes a clash with your year branch or day pillar. It does not model the other side. Leave their birthdays out. Your own birth date is sensitive. A court file is a bad place for it unless a lawyer has a legal reason, which will not be a stem.
Care and safety
If a legal process involves your safety, follow the lawyer, the court, and the local services that handle safety. Do not time a protective step to a path day. If you are in crisis, use local emergency services. The site is not a helpline, and a day officer is not a safety plan. Medical care, if you need it around a hearing, follows the clinician. Our almanac hides medical activity lines so a card is never a reason to delay treatment.
A boundary you can repeat
The court has set a date: attend. Counsel says only one lawful option: take it. Counsel says two options are equal: you may let a yellow-path day or a day officer break the tie, and you tell counsel the choice. Nobody's chart is evidence. No outcome is promised. No almanac replaces the lawyer.
What this is not
This is not legal advice, not a hearing strategy, and not a prediction. Counsel and the court's date win. We never replace a lawyer. An auspicious label never justifies missing a hearing, a filing, or a limitation date. Charts are not evidence.
