Wedding Dates and BaZi Matching: Questions to Ask
Wedding dates and BaZi matching answer different questions, and the useful habit is to ask which question you actually have before you open a form. An almanac ranks civil days for the rite. A personal date match adds clash penalties from a birth date. A BaZi chart reads one person’s pillars. None of them is a test the marriage must pass. Both the date tool and the chart are professional guidance.
Key facts
- Pick a Good Day’s wedding occasion uses the wedding activity line, plus path and officer. A birth date adds only year-branch and day-pillar clash penalties.
- That personal layer is not “BaZi matching” in the full sense. It does not compare ten gods, day masters, or luck steps between two people.
- A chart needs a birth date and can take an hour. Sex at birth is used only to set luck direction, and only when the hour is also known. It does not choose who marries whom.
- Unknown hour blanks the hour pillar on the chart and skips luck steps. Do not invent an hour to bless a Saturday.
- Light BaZi is $12.99 and the full chart is $19.99, as shelf prices. Good Day plans are $12.99 a month, $29.99 a quarter, and $89.99 a year.
- Two people mean two charts if both want charts, and two date passes if both want clash notes. There is no fused couple product.
Three questions that get blurred
The first question is logistical. Which mornings can the office, the hall, and the necessary people do? That question is answered with calendars and phone calls. Metaphysics is not required.
The second question is almanac. Among the mornings that survive, which does the wedding line prefer, and does either adult’s year branch or day pillar clash a candidate? Ask this only if you want a traditional tie-break. Run Pick a Good Day for the wedding occasion. The scoring write-up is the fact sheet. If you add a birth date, say whose. A second adult runs again. You read both cards. You do not average them into a percent.
The third question is natal. What does this person’s chart suggest about temperament, work climate, or the way they meet conflict? Ask it months before a venue hold, or not at all. Ask it of the person, not of the Saturday. Open BaZi for the adult who requested it. The full chart, which adds hidden stems, structure, symbolic stars, and luck steps when the inputs exist, is the full reading. Prices above are shelf prices so you can tell the products apart. They are not fees for a happy marriage. The method overview is what BaZi is.
If someone says “BaZi matching” and means a numerical compatibility that approves the partner, decline the framing. Relationship notes in a chart are reflective. They do not name a fated spouse, and they do not outrank a person you have already chosen in good faith. The disclaimer is explicit that guidance is not a vow.
One known hour, one unknown hour
One partner knows they were born at 06:20 in Lisbon. The other knows the date and the city and does not know the hour. A relative says the wedding cannot be dated until both hours exist, otherwise the match is “incomplete.” That demand confuses the products.
The date ranker does not use hours. They can shortlist registry days today, with or without clash penalties from the civil dates they do know. The partner with a known hour may order a chart for themselves, including luck direction because sex at birth and the hour are both known, and read it as a private reflection. The partner without an hour may order a chart that leaves the hour pillar blank and skips the steps. Nobody fabricates 12:00 to satisfy an uncle. The uncle does not get a veto stored in a missing minute. The ceremony is dated from the registry list and the guests who must attend. Charts, if they happen, stay about the people who asked.
Questions worth asking out loud
Ask who wants this. If only one family wants a chart, the other person can refuse without refusing the wedding. Ask what decision will change. If the answer is “none, we already chose each other and the hall has two holds,” then you are looking for a tie-break or for reassurance, and you should say which. Reassurance is allowed. Pretending the chart will discover a hidden incompatibility that cancels a willing partner is not a use we support.
Ask whether a clash on the wedding day would actually move you. If you would keep the day for a visa or a grandparent, do not describe the clash in advance as a catastrophe. You will have talked yourselves into a sign. A penalty is a weight. People marry on clashing days and stay. People marry on Open days and part. The day did not do either outcome.
Ask about pressure. A pregnancy, a permit, a hospital schedule, an inheritance conversation: families sometimes dress urgency up as metaphysics. Urgency can be real. Naming it honestly is kinder than blaming a branch. Health choices stay with clinicians. Contracts and marital property stay with counsel. We do not advise either.
What you can ignore without insulting the method
You can ignore guest charts. You can ignore a demand to compare Western sun signs with day masters in one score. Those systems do not share a unit, which is why a later essay separates them. You can ignore a past-life card. That quiz is entertainment fiction and is not ancestry, not a previous marriage, and not proof you have “already” been married. It must not be stapled to a license application.
You can also ignore a high wedding score on a day the hall double-booked. Inventory is not an omen. Call the hall.
A clean division of labor
Shortlist in the world. Rank the shortlist on the wedding occasion if you want a traditional preference. Optional clash notes, labeled per person. Charts only for adults who ask, read as reflection, not as permission. Then book, and stop re-opening the question every time a relative forwards a screenshot.
Help covers how the accounts work. Plans describe the date subscription that checkout is not currently selling. Four pillars is the chart layout if you decide the third question is yours.
What this is not
- A couple-compatibility score, a fated match, or a requirement that both hours be known.
- Legal advice on marriage formalities, or medical advice on fertility and pregnancy.
- Permission for relatives to commission a chart of someone who did not ask.
- A promise that an unclashed Open day produces a lasting marriage.
- An entertainment quiz. The past-life story is the fiction product. These tools are guidance.
- A live charge. Shelf prices are not a checkout.
