Past-Life Quiz vs Professional BaZi on the Same Site
PastLifeTest holds two tracks that should not be blurred. The past-life quiz takes twelve answers and writes an imagined historical life for entertainment. BaZi takes a birth date, and optionally a time and a place, and builds four pillars as professional metaphysics offered as guidance. One is fiction you can share as fiction. The other is a calendar reading with limits. They share a domain name. They do not share a method, a promise, or a price.
Key facts
- The quiz needs no birth time for the free card. You get an era, an archetype, an 80–120 word opening, and a share image. The same answers return the same imagined life.
- BaZi needs a birth date. Light BaZi is $12.99: pillars, ten gods with an English gloss, element balance, a useful-element sketch, and a short reading.
- The full chart is $19.99 and adds hidden stems, nayin, void, structure, symbolic stars, combinations and clashes, and eight 10-year steps when sex at birth and the hour are both known.
- Unknown hour blanks the hour pillar, takes the day from local noon, and skips luck cycles. The quiz has no hour pillar to blank.
- Neither track is medical, legal, or financial advice. BaZi does not promise outcomes. The quiz does not claim a life was recovered.
- The free quiz card and the ability to open the chart form are not a charge.
What the quiz is doing
Twelve preference questions, one screen each, map to a small fixed set of eras and archetypes. The opening scene is written from those tags. Repeatability is a craft promise: the site is not rolling a new fantasy each visit to the same answers. That repeatability is not evidence that the life happened. The pages say imagined because that is the contract. Adults use it for entertainment and self-reflection. It is not therapy, not regression, and not proof of reincarnation.
The free layer is complete as a small card. Optional story chapters, when they are sold, are longer fiction from the same answers, not a truer biography. Face, three-lives, and bond chapters are not currently sold, and they are not the chart. Nothing in the quiz computes Start of Spring, a solar term, apparent solar time, or a day master.
If a quiz result moves you, the move is literary. It is not a finding about your health or your obligations. The help pages say so, and they point to real emergency services if a story stirs something heavy. The site is not a helpline on either track.
What the chart is doing
The chart converts a civil instant into year, month, day, and hour pillars. The year waits for Start of Spring. The month waits for the solar term, not the Western month and not the lunar new moon. With a city, civil time in that timezone comes first, then apparent solar time when longitude is known. With no city, the clock is fixed UTC+8, not a fake Beijing longitude. Late zi, 23:00–23:59, advances the day pillar. Early zi, 00:00–00:59, keeps the new day.
The day stem is the day master. Other stems become ten gods. The short reading talks about temperament, work, wealth, relationship, and a health tendency. The health tendency is element metaphor, not a diagnosis. Wealth language does not name an amount. Relationship language does not write a marriage script from sex at birth. Sex at birth is used only to set the direction of luck steps, and only on the full chart, and only together with a known hour.
That is guidance: a structured traditional vocabulary you can set beside your own decisions. It is not entertainment, and this house does not label it as entertainment to make it sound lighter. The lighter product is the quiz. The chart stays on the guidance track with Pick a Good Day.
Inputs you should not swap
Do not type a quiz archetype into the BaZi form. The form wants a date. Do not type a day master into the quiz and expect the era to “confirm” it. The quiz does not read stems. A Wood day master and a Tang-dynasty story can sit in the same person as two unrelated printouts. Their agreement is not corroboration. Their disagreement is not a crisis.
Outputs you should not splice
A share caption that says the quiz found your past life and the chart proved it is a caption this site will not support. Cite the quiz as fiction. Cite the chart as a pillar reading with the clock note attached. $12.99 and $19.99 are not evidence of accuracy. They are depths of print.
Why both exist
Some readers want a story and some want a calendar method. Putting them on one site is a convenience only if the labels stay loud. The navigation, the help page, and these essays repeat the split because search snippets love to collapse it. “Past life test” and “four pillars” answer different queries. The quiz page should not be summarized as BaZi. The BaZi page should not be summarized as a past-life test.
Pick a Good Day is a third object, closer to BaZi than to the quiz: almanac guidance, one free preview day, plans at $12.99 a month, $29.99 every three months, and $89.99 a year. A birth date there is a year branch after Start of Spring plus a day pillar, not a quiz result and not a full hour chart of every date. Intention cards are reflective and not a fortune. Charms are printable sentences. None of them is the quiz, and none of them is secretly the chart.
How to move between them
Take the quiz if you want the free fictional card and you accept the word imagined. Open BaZi if you want pillars and you can supply a date honestly, including a blank hour if the hour is unknown. Save either kind of page only in the way that fits it. The quiz card is built to be shared as a story image. The chart contains birth data. The account magic link can save a chart or a Good Day reading and does not charge. The free quiz does not need that link.
Use ordinary judgment on both sides of the doorway. Fiction does not schedule surgery. A useful element does not schedule surgery. A high almanac score does not schedule surgery. That sentence is dull on purpose. The interesting mistake is to let three different products vote.
What this is not
- Not one product with two skins. Fiction and guidance are different contracts.
- Not a claim that the quiz recovers a life the chart can verify.
- Not entertainment applied to BaZi. The chart is guidance. The quiz is the entertainment.
- Not medical, legal, or financial advice on either track.
- Not a filled hour pillar when the birth time is unknown.
- Not a live purchase.
