A Practical Checklist Before You Ask for a Good Day
Before you ask Pick a Good Day for a rank, write down the act, the hard deadline, who must be present, and which dates are actually free. If any of those lines is still false, you are not ready for a preference. The checklist is the work. The almanac is a soft note afterward, and only inside dates that survive the list. The tool is professional guidance. It does not repair a blank line.
Key facts
- Name the act in one verb that matches an occasion: travel, meet, move, open, or a custom label when none of those fit.
- A hard clock you do not control is not a candidate. Remove it from the window before you rank.
- People, permits, money, and access are yes-or-no lines. A yellow path cannot turn a no into a yes.
- Optional birth data checks a year-branch and day-pillar clash only. It is not a full chart, and it is never a child’s data.
- One preview day is free. Draw the window from real slack or the preview may crown a day you cannot use.
- Custom occasions score path and officer only. Do not expect an activity list to appear because your label was poetic.
The list, in the order that prevents nonsense
Write it on paper or in a note you will still respect tomorrow. Line one: the act, in a sentence a stranger could follow. “Hold a Saturday stall” is an act. “Have a better month” is not. Line two: the latest responsible moment, with a zone. Line three: the earliest you could be ready, given work that is not yet done. Line four: the people who must say yes, and whether they have. Line five: permits, insurance, keys, inventory, or filings. Line six: access, including who cannot do stairs or who must leave for a prayer, a shift, or a school pickup. Line seven: the two or three civil dates that pass lines two through six. Only line seven is allowed to meet the tool.
If line seven has one date, stop. You have a date. You may record the officer for your own curiosity after you have committed, or you may skip it. Ranking a window of one is a ceremony. If line seven has several dates and you truly do not care which, you may also skip the tool and pick by sleep or by transit. The almanac is optional. Its weights are public on the almanac fact sheet.
A stall in Marseille, checked at 18:00
A seller wants a Saturday market stall. On Thursday at 6:00 p.m. they run the list. Permit from the mairie: approved, email saved. Insurance certificate: dated and covering Saturday. Stock: counted, short by one crate that arrives Friday at 11:00 a.m. or not at all. Helper: confirmed for Saturday 7:00 a.m. setup, must leave by 2:00 p.m. for a train. Two Saturdays were theoretically open. This Saturday fails if the crate does not land. Next Saturday fails because the permit is only for this week. So there is no window to rank unless the crate lands and this Saturday stands. They do not ask the almanac on Thursday night to soothe the crate. They call the shipper at 9:00 a.m. Friday. If the crate is in the shop by noon, they do the market. If not, they do not pretend Sunday is authorized. The tool, unused, was Pick a Good Day. Unused is a correct result.
How to fill the occasion field
Match the field to the act, not to your hope. A stall that is the first day of a tiny shop can be an opening. A trip to the wholesale market is travel. A talk with the market office is a meeting. A label like “abundance Saturday” is custom, and custom means path and officer only, a thin score. Thin is honest. Do not widen the window with days the permit does not cover so a Success day can appear. That is how checklists die. When a longer ranked list can be paid for, it will still follow the window you drew. See plans. Draw it tight.
Money, law, and bodies
If the date depends on a loan, a lease, or a filing, those documents outrank the card. This checklist is not legal or financial advice. If the date depends on a clinician, stop and use the clinic’s book. We do not rank treatment. If you are too tired to do the act safely, the act moves or shrinks. Sleep is a line on the checklist. A favored hour is not.
A personal chart is a different appointment. It does not replace line five. If you want temperament language on your own time, that is BaZi or the full chart, after the permit is either real or honestly absent. The guidance disclaimer keeps both tools from promising outcomes.
Birth data, if you add it at all
Adding a birth date is optional and personal. It can penalize a clash with your year branch after Start of Spring or with your day pillar. It will not penalize a clash with your mood. Do not add a partner’s date unless they asked, and do not add a child’s. If you do not know your hour, you are fine: this tool does not need the hour. Do not hunt an hour at midnight so the checklist feels complete. Completeness is the permit and the crate.
What you write down after the rank
If you do rank, write the winner and the runner-up, the reason you might reject the winner, and the time you will decide. “Preview says the 12th. Helper’s train says we need the 12th anyway. Decide Friday at noon after the crate call.” That note is the checklist’s last line. It prevents you from reopening the tool all evening. Reopening does not change a stable window. Same inputs, same order. If you need a different answer, a fact on lines two through six has to change, not your wish.
A short form you can copy
Act: Latest hard time and zone: Earliest ready time: People who have said yes: Permit, insurance, stock, or filing: Access and leaving time: Dates that survive: Occasion type you will select: Decision time:
If “dates that survive” is empty, close the tool. Fix a line or cancel the act. The past-life quiz is entertainment and is not a line on this form. A fictional story does not insure a stall.
What this is not
- A charm that makes a false line true.
- Legal, medical, or financial advice.
- A full BaZi of the date, or a chart of your household.
- A reason to include days you cannot staff.
- A children’s planning sheet.
- A promise that the top surviving day will go well.
