Wealth Themes Across Luck Cycles: A Careful Reading
Wealth themes across luck cycles are the way Direct Wealth, Indirect Wealth, and the stars that feed or drain them show up, fade, or clash as the ten-year steps proceed. A careful reading treats each step as a climate for money topics: negotiations, ledgers, dependency, the strain of supporting others. It does not draw a salary curve, and it does not treat the birthday a step ends as a cliff. This is professional guidance. The contract you already signed still has to be lived in whatever climate the page describes.
Key facts
- Luck cycles (大运) are ten-year steps. They are counted on the full chart only when sex at birth and the hour are both known. Sex at birth sets direction. It does not set income.
- A wealth stem on the step’s stem, or a wealth branch under it, means money topics are part of that decade’s description. It does not mean the decade is profitable.
- A following step without a wealth star is a different description. It is not a sentence of loss, and it does not cancel a salary, a pension right, or a contract already in force.
- The full reading’s annual layer is shown against the first luck cycle, not as a wealth graph of every later year.
- An unknown hour blanks the hour pillar and omits the steps. There is nothing to track across decades until the hour is real.
- Reading a sequence is still not financial advice. A renewal date, a payroll calendar, and a qualified adviser outrank the sequence.
How a step carries a wealth theme
Each step is a pillar in its own right, laid over the natal chart. The ten gods are named by comparing that pillar’s stems with the day master, the same way natal stems are named. If the step’s stem is the element the day master controls, the decade is often described as one in which wealth topics stand in the doorway: pricing, collecting, being collected from, inheritance paperwork, a household that depends on you. Hidden stems under the step’s branch can carry a wealth role even when the surface stem is an officer or a resource. That is why a careful reading looks under the branch instead of stopping at the gloss printed in large type. The light chart does not print this sequence. The full chart does, and only with the inputs the count requires.
The natal chart does not disappear when a step begins. A person whose month is already a wealth structure meets a wealth step differently from a person whose month is a resource structure. The first may experience the decade as more of a theme they know. The second may experience it as a theme that asks for skills they have treated as secondary: invoices, boundaries around money, a price said out loud. “Differently” is not “better.” Both people still live in a labor market the chart does not survey. Four pillars is the natal piece. This page is only the moving layer.
Clashes and combinations between the step and the natal pillars are part of a full reading. A clash is a technical friction, not a bankruptcy. A combination is a technical bond, not a merger. Translate them, if you translate them at all, as “this decade argues with that pillar” or “this decade ties to that pillar.” Then go back to the life you can actually see. If the argument you feel is with a manager, the manager is the person to speak to. The step will not attend the meeting.
The birthday the step changes
Helen is 44. Her hour is known, and her current step began when she was 39. The step’s stem is a wealth star relative to her day master. She has a contract renewal conversation scheduled for 1 June, still inside this step, and she has been told by a forum that money “stops” on the birthday the next step starts, when she is 49. She asks whether she should spend the five years as a countdown. The next step, when it comes, will be a new climate description. It will not switch off a salary, void a renewal she signs in June, or confiscate a skill. Between now and 1 June the work is ordinary: the figures she wants, the figures the employer has paid people in her role, the sentence she will say in the meeting. The step can remind her that money talk is native to these years, which she already knows because she is in a renewal. It cannot tell her the percentage. If she wants a reflective note on the decade, she reads it after she has drafted the sentence, not instead of drafting it.
A step that leaves wealth behind
The mirror fear arrives when the following pillar shows officer, resource, or output and no obvious wealth stem. Readers call that a drought. A decade of officer themes can be described as one in which rules, roles, and reputation are louder. A decade of resource themes can be described as one in which documents, study, and protection are louder. People earn, save, and get promoted inside those descriptions every day, because employers do not hire by stem. People also struggle inside wealth steps. The drought metaphor fails both groups. Use the next step as a change of emphasis you can prepare for in human ways: a credential you actually want, a role you understand, a reserve you build with advice if the sums warrant it. Do not use it as a date after which effort is pointless.
Annual weather is not the sequence
Annual fortune is easy to confuse with the sequence of steps. The full reading shows annual stems against the first luck cycle so a reader can see a nearer year without a horror catalog of old age. That scope is deliberate. A single year inside a wealth step can feel tight because a client left, and the step remains a wealth step. A single year inside a quiet step can include a raise because a team expanded. If you stitch annual stems into a private income chart, you have built a product this site does not sell and a promise the method does not make. The disclaimer covers the promise. The page you are reading covers the stitching.
Two adults can share a household and not share a step. His decade and hers begin at different ages because the count is personal. Planning a joint purchase off the louder of the two wealth steps ignores the quieter person’s actual consent and the actual price. Run two charts only if both people ask. Then return to the price. We do not add a child’s chart to the household sequence to see “who brings wealth in.” Children are not cast here.
What this is not
- A salary curve, a net-worth path, or a year-by-year income forecast.
- A cliff on the birthday a wealth step ends, or a jackpot on the birthday one begins.
- Financial, legal, or pension advice. Rights you already hold are not cancelled by a stem.
- A sequence you can read without a known hour and sex at birth.
- A combined couple chart or a child’s chart used as a household wealth plan.
- Proof that a clash inside a step is a loss, or that a combination is a deal.

June still has a sentence to draft
