Business Partnerships and BaZi: Roles, Questions, and Consent

BaZi belongs in a business partnership only as a private reflection each adult chooses, plus questions about roles you could have asked without any chart. It does not score the partnership, name who should be chief, or replace the agreement, and consent comes before anyone’s birth time is used. The cap table, the signature lines, and counsel decide the venture; a useful element does not allocate equity.

Key facts

  • No chart of a partner without that partner’s request. Curiosity is not consent.
  • Role questions are ordinary: who sells, who delivers, who keeps the books, who can bind the company. Answer them in a meeting, not in a stem.
  • A comparison of two day masters is not a compatibility percentage and not a due-diligence finding.
  • Wealth stars do not indicate who should hold shares. Officer stars do not indicate who should be the legal manager.
  • A launch date, if you want an almanac view, is chosen inside the window the lawyer, the bank, and the registry actually offer.
  • Disputes about money, IP, and authority are legal disputes. The chart is not evidence.

Consent before pillars

A prospective partner may be excited about metaphysics and still not want their birth hour in your notes. Ask whether they want to look at their own chart, alone. If they say no, the partnership discussion proceeds on work samples, references, and terms. If they say yes, they enter their own data. You do not store their certificate in a shared drive “for the company chart.” There is no company chart. Firms are not born with a day master. What BaZi is is a birth reading for a person.

Do not use a chart to persuade someone to sign. “Your wealth star wants this” is pressure. Pressure with birth data is worse, because it dresses a sales pitch as intimacy. If you are the one being persuaded that way, you can refuse the reading and still consider the deal on paper. Guidance does not make stems a negotiating tactic.

Two founders and a signature deadline

Two adults in Singapore want to incorporate and have a lawyer’s draft that must be signed or revised by the 21st. One has read her own chart and noticed a strong output theme; she likes making the product and dislikes the books. That is a prompt for a role conversation she could have had from the last year of work: she should not be the sole person who can move money. The other founder is not required to produce a chart to “balance” her. He can say he will own the monthly close, and the draft can say what happens if he stops. The 21st is the constraint. A clash between their day branches, even if both had consented to look, would not move the 21st or rewrite the vesting. If they want a signing day inside the week the lawyer is free, Pick a Good Day can sort dates. The lawyer’s week wins. The four pillars do not appear in the preamble of the contract.

Questions that do not need a birth time

Who talks to customers? Who can hire? What is a tie-break worth using? What salary, if any, happens before profit? What is the exit if one person wants out in a year? These questions decide more ventures than any ten god. If you cannot answer them, you are not ready to bind, regardless of how harmonious the elements look. If you can answer them and the charts, read separately, make someone nervous, treat the nerves as a prompt to reread the exit clause, not as a veto from heaven. Then let counsel reread it for real.

What comparison may and may not say

With mutual consent, two people can notice friction: one wants decisions written, the other wants them fast; one prices carefully, the other discounts to keep peace. Those habits might rhyme with officer, output, or companion themes. The rhyme is a conversation starter. It is not a score, and this site does not print a percentage for pairs. If the rhyme becomes “your chart is why we are behind,” the metaphysics has turned into blame. Return to the metric you actually share: shipments, cash, complaints. Believe the metric.

Hidden hostility does not need a chart to be wrong. If you do not trust someone with a bank login, do not give them the login and hope a useful element will reform the month. Trust is built from small shared work, references, and terms. A luck step that “favors partnership” is a private weather note, easy to overread, and unavailable anyway if the hour is unknown. Do not delay a necessary no until a decade turns. Do not rush a yes because a year pillar looks friendly.

Equity splits that follow “who has the wealth star” are a misuse. Splits follow contribution, risk, and negotiation, documented where the law expects. This page is not financial advice and not legal advice. If the sums matter, pay a professional. The chart form is the wrong vendor for that opinion. Help will not store your cap table.

After you sign

Keep charts out of board notes, investor updates, and hiring. An investor who asks for founders’ BaZi as diligence should be refused. Birth data are not a risk factor you owe a stranger. Run the company on the agreement. If a role is failing, change the role or the agreement through the mechanism you wrote down. Do not change it because a new year’s pillar embarrassed someone.

If the partnership is also a marriage or a family tie, the business terms still need to be terms. Affection is not a substitute for a buy-sell clause. The spouse-palace language elsewhere in this library is about personal charts, not about shares. Do not mix the vocabularies in the operating agreement.

What this is not

  • A compatibility score for cofounders, or a rank of who should be chief.
  • Consent to read a partner’s chart because you share a slide deck.
  • Legal, tax, or investment advice. Counsel and qualified advisers own those products.
  • A company natal chart. Organizations do not have a birth hour in this method.
  • Evidence in a dispute about equity, IP, or authority.
  • A reason to skip references, a trial project, or a written exit.

Terms stay in the contract

Opening your own chart while you think about a partnership does not charge you, and it does not incorporate anything. Get consent before anyone else’s data appears, let the draft do the binding, and leave the tool without a bill.
