What the card is
The card is the free layer of the past life test — we also call it Glimpse on /pricing. It is a finished object, just a small one.
It shows:
- When and where the imagined life sits
- The role (archetype): work and posture, not a moral score
- The opening — about eighty to one hundred twenty words
- A vertical image meant for a phone save or a story sticker
If you never unlock a longer chapter, you still took a complete quiz. A site that hides the street name behind an email is doing a different job.
The opening is AI-written from your tags. Texture is the point: a tool, a street, a thing not done. A commandment (“quit your job,” “contact someone from a dream”) is a bad line. Ignore it.
How a card gets made
- You answer twelve preferences. No login.
- Answers become tags. Tags pick a place-year and an archetype from a small fixed set.
- The model writes the opening. The layout stamps era + role on the image.
- You see the card. You can save it. You can stop.
Same answers → same life. Refreshing should not mint a new person. That stability is why a share does not drift under you two hours later. It is not a parish register.
If and when we offer a paid rewrite of a longer chapter, that pass does not redefine the free card as “more true.” It is a workshop note on prose.
What “share” is for
We want the card to be sendable. That is how a three-minute quiz travels. It is also how people get sloppy.
The card is built for:
- a friend who likes costume dramas
- a group chat that already speaks in movie stills
- your own camera roll
It is not built for:
- announcing a recovered identity
- explaining a child’s personality
- assigning a counterpart to a partner
- stacking destiny talk or “this proves it”
If you asked what was my past life or who was I in a past life, the honest caption is still a story caption.

A good post sounds like a film still. A bad post sounds like a court exhibit.
You can link pastlifetest.com/test if someone asks how. You do not need to argue about whether past lives are real. The card does not settle that argument.
Image, face, and other people
The free card does not need your face. A portrait, if you buy one later, is an extra picture of the character — period clothes, from your tags, and only if you choose, from a photo of you that you confirm is you and that you are an adult.
Do not upload children, other people, or public figures. Do not run the quiz so you can post a card “about” someone who did not take it.
If a hard fictional death or a war year lands on the card, you can close the tab. You do not owe the character a public eulogy. Death, when it appears, is optional color in fiction — not a fact we recovered.
After the card
Most people stop. That is success.
If you want more rooms and a second fork in the road, unlock the longer imagined chapter when it is offered. If you want a face to match the coat, that is the portrait tier. Prices: /pricing. Neither unlock changes the contract: still entertainment, still imagined.
