Picking a Good Day to Move Home
A moving day, here, is a date ranked for moving house and entering a home. The almanac lines for those acts, the day officer, and the path do the sorting. The rank is guidance for a date inside a window the lease and the movers already allow.
Key facts
- The opening-or-move occasion matches moving house and entering a home, and also opening a business. For a home move, the move and entering lines are the ones that matter.
- Suitable lines add four points each. Unsuitable lines subtract five. A direct unsuitable move line outweighs a yellow path.
- Success and Open add two. Destruction and Close subtract two. Full adds one. Black path subtracts two. Yellow path adds two.
- Your birth date, if entered, subtracts six for a year-branch clash after Start of Spring and four for a day-pillar clash. It does not cast the new address as a chart.
- Keys, elevators, and school terms outrank the score.
- The day is not a survey, a mortgage opinion, or a reason to delay medical care during a relocation.
Lists before poetry
Moving and entering are specific traditional acts. A day can be good for travel and poor for moving a household, because travel and moving are different lines. If both happen the same day, choose the act that is harder to reschedule and rank that. Averaging them in your head double-counts the path and confuses the result.
A tenancy that ends on the twenty-eighth in Rotterdam
The old tenancy ends on the twenty-eighth. The new keys are available on the twenty-seventh and the twenty-ninth. Tell the landlord in writing. A verbal hope that the officer will soften a clerk is not a plan.
Elevators and black-path courtesy
Buildings issue elevator slots without reference to 黄道. When the slot and the suitable line agree, enjoy the agreement and do not brag about it. The ones who do not are having a different argument. Have it in ordinary language.
Birth dates and housemates
A personal penalty helps you avoid a day that traditionally rubs your own branches. It does not make the flat yours in a metaphysical sense. That is not date selection. It is surveillance of the people you are about to share a kitchen with.
What the chart still might tell you
Read a BaZi chart, if you want, for the temperament of the move: you over-pack, you under-budget, you treat a new city as a project and forget to eat. That reading uses your birth data, not the van’s date. An unknown hour should stay unknown. Guessing it so the move can be “approved” invents a pillar and does not book the truck.
Solar terms and the first night
If the move crosses Start of Spring or another section term, you occupy two BaZi months in one week. That is not an omen that the household will fail. Hobbies are allowed when you can afford them. Say so if you are choosing one.
Money and the condition of the place
A suitable entering day does not mean the boiler works. Test the boiler. When the landlord collapses them into one hour, read first in that hour. The officer can wait outside.
Care during the move
People skip physiotherapy, dialysis-adjacent routines, and ordinary prescriptions because the week is loud. Do not. Destruction’s two-point drag is smaller than a missed treatment. Anyone who tells you otherwise is not using this method.
Children and animals
School start dates and a pet’s stress are practical constraints. A child starting class on Monday needs a bed before Monday. Folklore about which animal year may enter a house first is not part of our rank. Skip it rather than stressing a pet to satisfy a saying you cannot source.
The first week
Cook one simple meal in the new kitchen before you judge the day.
Fatigue is not a path
If you are miserable, the causes are likely fatigue and the size of the change, not the road. Do not recast your birth chart because a lamp broke. Lamps break on favored-road days too.
Disputes stay in the contract
Recheck the almanac only if you have another move to plan. Pay a deposit dispute through the process the lease names. The day you moved is not evidence.
What this is not
- Advice about which property to buy, rent, or leave.
- A mortgage, tax, or survey opinion.
- A guarantee that a suitable entering line means a peaceful household.
- An hourly BaZi of the new address.
- A reason to overstay a lease or to skip school, work, or medical care.
- A demand for housemates’ birth data.
