BaZi for Founders: Timing Language for Launches
Founders use BaZi when they want a language for timing that is stricter than a mood and looser than a forecast. The chart describes whether this decade leans toward output, authority, or resource, and whether the person starting the company is in a season that supports being seen. It does not size a market, price a product, or promise revenue.
Key facts
- Structure comes from the month branch. An output structure speaks to making. An officer structure speaks to role, standards, and being evaluated.
- A useful element is a priority for balance. It is not a sector you must enter.
- Luck steps on the full chart need sex at birth and a known hour. They describe a decade’s weather, not a funding round.
- A company start date can be chosen with the almanac’s opening lines. That tool shows one free preview day. The paid window is a subscription: $12.99 a month, $29.99 a quarter, or $89.99 a year.
- Birth-date matching on a launch day penalizes year-branch and day-pillar clashes only. It is not an hourly BaZi of the launch day.
- This is not financial, legal, or investment advice. A chart does not replace a shareholder agreement.
Climate versus calendar
Climate is the chart: who you are when you start things, and which decade you are in. Calendar is the almanac: which civil date, inside a window you already have, carries opening language, a favorable officer, and a yellow or black path. Read the chart on a quiet evening. Rank the date on a morning when the build is actually ready.
A two-person studio in Lisbon
Two founders want to open orders on a Thursday in April. One chart is full of output, the other is better at the long document than the launch thread. The charts explain the fight about tone. They do not choose Thursday. If the product and the tax registration are ready, ship, even when a later day looks cleaner.
Proxy charts and cofounders
Reading only the CEO’s chart and calling it the company’s fate hides the other people who can sign. If you compare cofounders, look for friction you can manage: one person clashes with officer weather and will hate a compliance month, the other is lost without a script. A compatibility glance can warn you about working styles. It must not be used to push someone out while calling the push traditional.
What a luck step can honestly say
When the hour and sex at birth are known, eight steps give starting ages. A step full of wealth stars can be described as a decade in which money talk is loud: pricing, payroll, a round, a loss. It is a suggestion. A contract you signed last year still has to be delivered even if the step would have preferred a library.
Funding is not a ten god
Indirect Wealth is not venture capital. Direct Officer is not a regulator, except as a metaphor you can drop. If a term sheet has a deadline, answer it. Missing it for a solar term is how metaphysics becomes an excuse.
The hour you do not have
Many founders know a birthday and not a time. Their luck steps are unavailable. Do not buy a rectified hour the night before a launch. The launch will not improve, and the chart will become a story you cannot defend to a cofounder.
Dates, officers, and a ready product
Pick a Good Day for an opening looks at lines such as opening a business, plus the day officer and the path. Success and Open add a small lift. Rank a window you can truly use: after the build, before the event you already announced, inside the season your customers buy. A perfect officer on a date your factory is shut is not a plan.
Preview versus the ranked list
You can see one preview day without a subscription.
Contracts around the launch
A launch often includes a lease, a supplier, or a first hire. Signing days have their own almanac note, and a higher rank never repairs a bad clause. Have a lawyer read the paper if the stake is real. The chart’s officer star will not negotiate liability. Wealth language will not set a fair wage. Pay people. The pillar is not a payroll system.
After the date
The morning after you ship, the chart is unchanged. If the launch is quiet, do not recast the hour. They are avoiding the inbox. Set a cadence: one reading a season, one date rank per real launch, then weeks of ordinary work.
Health of the person who signs
A structure that loves pressure will let you skip sleep. The body metaphor is not a diagnosis, and it is not permission to treat exhaustion as a noble qi. See a doctor if you are unwell. Do not schedule care around a yellow-path day. The company can survive a founder’s appointment. It survives a collapsed founder less often, and that sentence is ordinary experience, not a metaphysical threat.
What to tell the team
Tell them the date, the scope, and the owner of each task. You may mention that you looked at a calendar tradition if your team likes context. You may not tell them the day is destined to succeed, and you may not blame a black-path mark if a task slips. Adults do better with owners than with omens. The chart stays on your side of the table unless someone asks for their own.
What this is not
- A business plan, a valuation, or a promise of revenue or funding.
- Legal advice about incorporation, contracts, or employment.
- A company chart that replaces the founder’s birth data with a filing date.
- A reason to ship before the product works, or to delay a real deadline for an officer.
- Financial advice to investors or to your future self.
- A substitute for the almanac when all you needed was a civil date in a known window.
